How to Join Google Plus? and Who Can Join It?

Want to customize the color scheme of G+ and  change its look completely? Try this: [a href="http://www.mybloggertricks.com/2011/07/customize-google-plus-14-ways-to-change.html"]10 Tricks to customize Google+ Theme[/a] [a href="http://bloggingehow.blogspot.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"][/a]

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfJAr_Ypu-WiUg48ZzaYdyNF71UelPL2DnqRadc11gdaiJJp0MmRjREuGoGV1UZ7y6BJGbImbBGvV5B_6UHn7-lt7d-ePDS7F7gjr4gX0fJ6a_0fWyGnymjkoHIFunMdTfkFxPTOK49mI/s1600/google+plus+one+1.png"]google plus logo[/a][a href="http://plus.google.com/" target="_blank"]Google Plus[/a] (+) project seems to be one of the greatest creation of Google all time. Google has really changed the way one can surf net and now with plus one, the limits are set to endless. As i was impatient to get to see the new bloggers layout in the same way i cant get hold of my self to use Google Plus one.

Presently Google isn't allowing to join or sign up for Google plus one openly as its in testing process, though invitation process is going on. You can post your Gmail ID in the comments box below and we can invite you as a free favor. For invitation kindly first subscribe by submitting your email ID by [a href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=TntByStc&loc=en_US" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"]clicking here[/a]

Some thanksgivings:

google Plus Invitation

At this point if you don't have any idea about  Google plus one i would  recommend you to get a [a href="http://www.google.com/+/demo/"]tour of it[/a].

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr4oyWmA3jqiixp0suY-uNTlzFUpgNDAFVqp_gXFKDGFsbXPj9RzprW43bOtRa-5rdNoLrIuYgXOg0tObBxy8wSQaYYtKbQeCPNlkv0eMIj6bmAYyNwBT7YX4kAd37uca6xXVs9axvvX4/s1600/google+plus+one.png"]google plus [/a]

You can [a href="https://services.google.com/fb/forms/googleplusenuk/"]get registered[/a] and get in queue by providing your email address. Google plus one is generally for every Google user and is basically a social networking project that would help connect people in a better way. Many of us are already annoyed with Facebook privacy issues where we don't want to share every thing with every one in our friend list.
Google plus one has got over that issue and have introduced 'circles'. Its a worth using social  platform and i would definitely recommend over Facebook. That was a general idea of Google plus one project. Ill keep you posted with further Google plus one development.
What do you think about this new development from Google. Do you think it can attract Facebook diehard users?

What is Google Plus Project? Is it a Threat To Facebook?

Hangouts

Hangouts feature is more like the video chatting thing where you can start a hangout with your particular circle. Its more like a video conference. This is thought to be the biggest threat to Facebook after Circles and Facebook didn't stayed back.
We all know Facebook and its friendly relationships with Microsoft and both the companies and jointly made a partnership over Skype and now Facebook would feature video calling too.

Can Google+ Dominate Facebook's Traffic and Audience?

With all these features, Google is trying to make this one of their best social networking moves ever and looks like they would be pretty successful too. Some expect that the biggest migration in history from Facebook to Google+ is yet to occur and everyone will be alive to witness it.
Comment below about this race that has started between Google and Facebook. I personally believe that Google plus one would give a hard time to Facebook setup until Facebook reconsiders their privacy issues.

Disadvantages of Pinging Servers With Windows Live Writer

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqSAzG59rY2hdTYp4yvDK0-7DZkcEcaZXSl2nBE00QzlKdc3tj8xXgx3vlfbEz-6J2yXHA5ZtMPZXE4ESIXPKF58QGsY6g0t9u-I9u3po4FKMhBuEsG-sHt1_ChYuj5mK4bC9JD1_56-g/s1600-h/PINGING-wlw%25255B7%25255D.gif"]PINGING-wlw[/a][a href="http://www.mybloggertricks.com/2011/05/use-windows-live-writer-kick-blogger.html" target="_blank"]Windows Live writer[/a] offers an option where you can ping social networks and search engines whenever you publish a new post. Pinging is not a bad thing unless you do it frequently like 3-4 times a day. According to some previously asked questions WLW team has confirmed that the Ping function if turned on can put unnecessary burden on the servers that can cause you getting banned by search engines, blog directories and social networks. [a name='more'][/a]This can badly effect your search engine listings and social network repo if you are requesting an update request frequently from different traffic sources may that be search engines or social media networks. However if you want a special attention of search engines and blog directories for a selected post then you can do that by temporarily activating your Ping function as follows:

How to Ping Servers in Windows Live Writer?

Go To WLW Options menu and select Ping Servers as shown below,

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpm7vAdqGDCPW-p7Jy83TwrOsoQDIDZNXfjDOrgwJAYZdKCg6elVaBL8WOmJ5S65T5H9kXMEUcbkFqo9gL8jTl9ifjPw6wyw2LXzy8jxVyAI9kuSLrZOXlrZIzrDSi26wZHWVFrQvtBsY/s1600-h/image%25255B4%25255D.png"]ping servers[/a]

Check the box and paste the following pinging URLs inside the big box,

http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping
http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2
http://ping.feedburner.com
http://rpc.icerocket.com:10080
http://services.newsgator.com/ngws/xmlrpcping.aspx
http://api.feedster.com/ping.php
http://rpc.pingomatic.com
http://rpc.weblogs.com/RPC2

The above URLs will ping technorati, google blog search, Feedburner, Feedster and most importantly pingomatic which will update dozens of directories about your latest blog update.

Please use this utility carefully and ping all these services only when you think that your post is not indexed or needs special attention. You can do this for unique posts 3-4 times a week but not daily. But don't be too afraid of using this tool, I use it too but when I need to. Stay safe and have fun. Peace and blessings. :)

Google Changed Search Results Format and Design

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg1AxAV5l2s7HNTLffNN0KMh9dBXzrXs-F6UdWKVgrOGYwOqNF6snaKDvr_OlkbEB5_2q-XfHdNCOehu2cSlJwPLrYyZxKWeuaxRbp8nilMYQJ5uG3QNpReJNYXG1lmSs3XIIY4E5UDyA/s1600-h/SEARCH-FORMAT%25255B2%25255D.gif"]GOOGLE SEARCH-FORMAT[/a]

June 2011 saw a rapid change in Google's development performance. We heard of Google [a href="http://www.mybloggertricks.com/2011/06/add-google-1-button-to-your-blogger.html" target="_blank"]+1 Button[/a], then the [a href="http://www.mybloggertricks.com/2011/06/google-1-button-will-start-appearing-on.html" target="_blank"]+1 Project[/a], the [a href="http://www.mybloggertricks.com/2011/06/1-report-stats-added-to-google.html" target="_blank"]+1 Metrics[/a], then Social Plugins tracking in Analytics and [a name='more'][/a]now just few days have past that the entire search format and appearance have been changed. Now the Webpage titles are immediately followed by Webpage URL and then Description in the last. Previously the webpage titles were followed immediately by description but now URL has taken a jump up. This signals towards the priority of Webpage URL over Page Description.

How can this change effect your Organic Traffic?

To be honest no one can give a confident answer except logical views. Every single move taken by Google has always put a drastic impact on web traffic and with the latest introduction of +1 recommendation plugin this shift in URL position can have a significant meaning.

What are the Design Changes?

Now you see a black navigation bar appearing at the top with all available search options. After the query is being submitted by the user, a left pane appears where you are given several search tools. An interesting new feature is that now you can view what information is been fed in Google every single second by clicking the latest Link under Any time option. You can also select a custom time range to search for specific data over a selected time period. All these new developments made Google to stand out once again.

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu9TX-E4eG5HBj8emhQyiX7fu8d2VNvKuYlgBhYkhjwqRxvJKZr2mdDUzZPDBAEeeSVdpLQXoRrZqPuSJw3umxHyXdyBffzr0so-8-dC1qny1fe0nH-5oEh1twIXQQgRsupx2tyoR5Rfg/s1600-h/image%25255B3%25255D.png"]Google navigation bar[/a]

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2la8hFHvYDohLtDTKvocqucTjD6FsQ5FfmPZeUV2PBafmyneJH6kznmfkI6zmuSjkfxfncUxlr3xNrMpW96C-e1_6yS_irwPBGUB-SpVsY8rEVQF-nAPDh9yGyEsob4YnU6BR1SKLZS0/s1600-h/image%25255B7%25255D.png"]Google Left pane[/a]

and not just that! Looks like even Google designers are bored with the old search button and therefore they changed it into a attractive light blue one,

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPjNpSzxOjXnmI_WRBPXxOc7rXM1rAzZ4wBsjXSyCxYSIrfFWOvLtjPi4KKutZTSx-CDwqqqZal1vdY0RUsdHEPPoRr-_Bc3N4YX-48qe83loHXDQiR71IcevH27kmhCFLfXQFo4YFdvI/s1600-h/image%25255B11%25255D.png"]new google search button[/a]

What do you have to share?

Keeping the design thing aside, what do you think the sudden change in the position of Page URL and Page Description can cause to search engine ranking criteria. Can it effect your +1'd recommendations?

Due to the increasing popularity the privacy features provided are not enough to maintain a certain security level. [a name='more'][/a]
According to a recent research conducted by Symantec about the security of Google Android and Apple's iOS, Symantec gave a green card to Apple iOS being more secure than Google Android. The research was conducted keeping in mind to examine the core security architecture & determining their strengths & weaknesses of both platforms.
Below is the summary of analysis of the two platforms:

Apple iOS

Advantages:

  • Better Access Control & Encryption
  • Control Policies using password with more options such as automatic data wipe after a certain number of failed password attempts.
  • App Store more secure due to certification and control.
  • Sandboxing to isolate applications.

Disadvantages:

  • Built-in hardware encryption increases the changes of a Hacker getting control of your device.
  • Apps can perform a wide range on actions which can raise potential privacy flags.

Android

Advantages:

  • Better Application Isolation
  • No built-in hardware encryption in Android 2.2 & 2.3. However, the tablet OS, Android 3.0, do have an option but is turned off by default.
  • Sandboxing to isolate applications.
  • Apps are blocked from accessing most of the system services unless a user explicitly grants permission after checking the list of permissions shown while installing an app.

Disadvantages:

  • Control Policies using password but no advanced options.
  • Android Market is more prone to Malware due to its openness.

For an in-depth, technical evaluation view this 23 Page "White Paper" ([a href="http://www.symantec.com/content/en/us/about/media/pdfs/symc_mobile_device_security_june2011.pdf?om_ext_cid=biz_socmed_twitter_facebook_marketwire_linkedin_2011Jun_worldwide_mobilesecuritywp" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"]PDF INFO[/a]) released by Symantec.

What are your views?

Although I don’t see much difference regarding security in both of these platforms I guess Apple iOS wins the race with better control policy and app store. What’s your view?

Google Banned all co.cc domains - A Step-Forward against Spam

This is a guest post by Bhavesh Mohanlal Pamecha from [a href="http://www.plentyofebooks.net/" target="_blank"]Plenty of Ebooks[/a]

Google has banned and penalized all the sites which used a co.cc sub-domain. [a href="http://www.co.cc/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"]Co.cc[/a] is a free domain name registrar which offers sub-domains in bulk.
Due to increase amount of web spam and poor quality sites and especially with all of the recent criticism towards its search engine Google was forced to take a serious action to fight against web spam and help protect its users with good quality links. Check the screen shot below for the proof. [a name='more'][/a]

Matt Cutts, the Head of Google's Web Spam team, wrote on [a href="https://plus.google.com/u/1/109412257237874861202/posts/eanXpZKMDSf#109412257237874861202/posts/eanXpZKMDSf" target="_blank"]Google +[/a]

"First, a definition: a "freehost" is a domain that will let anyone register a site on that domain. There's lots and lots of high-quality freehosts out there (wordpress.com comes to mind)."
"We absolutely do try to be granular, but I wanted to mention that if we see a very large fraction of sites on a specific freehost be spammy or low-quality, we do reserve the right to take action on the freehost as a whole. I think most savvy search/SEO folks would understand this completely, but I figure it's better to over-communicate than under-communicate."

Matt Cutts also said,

"This is not a new webspam policy. Other parts of Google do similar things. For example, [a href="http://googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.com/2011/06/protecting-users-from-malware-hosted-on.html"]http://googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.com/2011/06/protecting-users-from-malware-hosted-on.html[/a] talks about "bulk sub-domain providers" (treat it as the same thing as a freehost) and they mention "To help protect users we recently modified those [malware scanning] systems to identify bulk sub-domain services which are being abused. In some severe cases our systems may now flag the whole bulk domain."

[a href="http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Webmasters/user?userid=03856587199021041525&hl=en" target="_blank"]JohnMu[/a], Webmaster Trends Analyst, gave some advice on [a href="http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Webmasters/thread?tid=10735eb11a40c0c8&hl=en_" target="_blank"]Webmaster Central[/a]  for legit webmasters owning a co.cc sub-domain.

"If you feel that your particular site is in line with our Webmaster Guidelines, I would recommend submitting a reconsideration request. Additionally, if you use a subdomain on a widely used domain name, and feel that your subdomain provider is not up to par with regards to preventing and handling abuse quickly - be it webspam, phishing, or malware - you may wish to look into ways of remedying that."

What should you do know if you are a .co.cc user?

The best is to sign up for a .com domain from a trusted domain hosting company like [a href="http://secure.hostgator.com/~affiliat/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=mustafastc-" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"]Hostgator[/a]. It will cost you less than $15/year but quality and reputation is guaranteed by them. Do give few bucks more but always go for quality. If you are really serious about blogging then choosing a .com domain is highly suggested.

What do you think?
Express your views in comments, whether this will be a boon or a curse according to you.

PageRank or Alexa Rank? Which One Is Important?

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2OhWscNb4LVxhGa6u0rryQ47O919caVK2Rd31tjznQQ4tXwJ3-Tr94A_sPvHypBHlIYw3OyWwfJoByxvzrRPe6x1PUTWNYH4uhdCpx5mVmeq53oEbvkr1AtuVXE8hEgVkBOs32AQG8Fo/s1600-h/alexa-or-Pagerank%25255B4%25255D.png"]alexa-or-Pagerank[/a]

Google Page Rank and [a href="http://www.mybloggertricks.com/2011/05/alexas-top-ten-websites-2011.html" target="_blank"]Alexa ranking[/a] are two different ways determine your site's performance. Here is a little description of the two,

Google Page Rank

Google Page Rank is a rank from 0 to 10. It is the way Google observes a website. It is mostly dependent upon how many quality backlinks the site has. However there are many other features that also count. Sometimes Google ban people from the ranking due to several reasons like copied content and black hat SEO tactics. . It is calculated from an algorithm (can be seen here :[a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank"]Wiki PageRank[/a]. )

Positive Aspects:

  1. A good way to observe sites performance as it uses quality backlinks as a major factor. Follows an algorithm (attach algorithm link here [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank" target="_blank"]Wiki[/a]).

  2. Can ban websites with copied content.

  3. Ranked by the biggest search engine in the world i.e GOOGLE

  4. Mostly Page Rank is considered a major factor when buying or selling a site.

  5. Calculated by Google itself which is major site that sends traffic.

  6. Offers a toolbar named 'Google Toolbar' to check the Alexa ranking of a site

Negative Aspects:
Updated very late (3-4 months)
People can buy quality backlinks and get good Page Rank.
They do not provide a toolbar for their own Google Chrome.

Alexa Ranking

[a href="http://www.alexa.com/" target="_blank"]Alexa[/a] is a web directory and  provides free traffic metrics, search analytics, demographics, and more. Alexa ranking depends upon how many visitors you get daily.
Positive Aspects:

  1. Updated sooner

  2. Calculation is based on a dependable factor i.e visitor count.

  3. Offers a toolbar named 'Alexa Toolbar' to check the Alexa ranking of a site.

Negative Aspects:
You can use a software and get as robot visits to your site and increase your hit count.

Conclusion:

Observing both the two factors it is seen that none of them actually is a perfect way to describe the success of a website. Both of them have their pros and cons. However PageRank gives an idea of how popular a website is in internet in building reputation and Alexa gives an estimate idea of how much traffic a website is receiving. In short both are important to receive handsome sponsorship and attract tons of Advertisers.

+1 Report Stats added to Google Webmaster Tools & Analytics

+1 metrics With the successful invention of the [a href="http://www.mybloggertricks.com/2011/06/add-google-1-button-to-your-blogger.html" target="_blank"]+1 Button[/a] and the +1 Project, [a href="http://adsense.blogspot.com/2011/06/1-reporting-in-google-webmaster-tools.html" target="_blank"]Google released[/a] the +1 stats reports in Google Webmaster Tools. This new integration was made today. The +1 reports will tell web owners and bloggers how much traffic value the button is bringing to their site. You can now track the number of times your pages have been +1 'd by your visitors on your web pages as well as on your Adword Ads or search results. Fortunately you can now also track the performance of other social plugins by using [a href="http://www.google.com/support/analyticshelp/bin/answer.py?answer=1316556&topic=1316551"]Social Plugin Tracking in Google Analytics[/a]. The +1 Metrics menu can now be found on your webmaster account. It contains three important features which are:

[a name='more'][/a]

1. Search Impact Report

This tells you how your Clickthrough rate changes when people recommend your blog or webpage more and more. With +1 recommendations your organic search traffic can surely take a positive turn but to measure how much it helped you, [a href="http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=1140189&topic=1140191&utm_source=webmaster&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=announcement" target="_blank"]Search impact[/a] is the tool you need.

2. Activity Report

In simple words [a href="http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1140192&utm_source=gablog&utm_campaign=socialTracking&utm_medium=blog" target="_blank"]activity report[/a] shows you how many times your web pages have been +1’d, from buttons both on your site and on other pages. This will let you know how much your content is being recommended. It comes with two options i.e. New +1's and All +1's. Pretty obvious terms.

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsffw87OXS6lIniary-avKIzly_mHCMBJszM3u-Sy6wV8VYDWQBINVGgrQOIvTzaAUeaPLwTRo-Y0TI0ezeAZATAQjK46gklNoQ9nxgbmR_npH0G-0WmxEtjp6SCnDmO37vIfe4sKOlkE/s1600-h/image%25255B4%25255D.png"]+1 activity report[/a]

3. Audience Report

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_GVJNhWjjowvR2ol8d604xB727K3CcUGfkcUdqEB5-prz4aS6mOJ6lKuQ4H3gOy47iJt4P4ZtEY44RiqgOc1BsjReL7bHYj4PjxctdYo5IMxoyfkkl2_721YMRaupNfCtSWGQtiqtRFc/s1600-h/image%25255B9%25255D.png"]+1 audience report[/a]

[a href="http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=1198127&topic=1140191&utm_source=webmaster&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=announcement" target="_blank"]Audience Report[/a] options shows the total number of unique users who +1'd  your pages along with aggregate geographic and demographic information about the Google users who’ve +1’d your pages.

Social Plugin Tracking in Google Analytics

This new feature is added in your [a href="http://analytics.google.com" target="_blank"]analytics[/a] account to let you know the performance of other social plugin recommendations. This according to me is even bigger achievement of Google compared to +1 project. Social networks are the best tool for traffic and keeping an eye on how well these networks are playing for your website traffic should be the crucial part of your Traffic campaign. Plugin tracking for all social share buttons on your blogs or webpages is done using some JavaScript. I will mention in detail on how you can set up the tracking for other social plugins  for your websites in my coming posts.

This social engagement reporting tool comes with three options which are explained by Google as:

The Social Engagement report lets you see how site behavior changes for visits that include clicks on +1 buttons or other social actions. This allows you to determine, for example, whether people who +1 your pages during a visit are likely to spend more time on your site than people who don’t.

The Social Actions report lets you track the number of social actions (+1 clicks, Tweets, etc) taken on your site, all in one place.

The Social Pages report allows you to compare the pages on your site to see which are driving the highest the number of social actions.

What do you think?

Let me know what are your views on this latest development and do you think it will bring something fruitful to you in person. Any views will highly be appreciated.

Problems With Official Blogger App for Android Devices

[a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEfvXz0S6fiICxP1e8_qYOQDd8nR_kfT8uyzptK9CNXiS9ULpExM-qH7qUMVUlBufihxCJ7XLLg0gkWPr1Hw2x-Q9PQrbc_VA6y8a9lsiR6CPg9QwR1FQtjVWoSJ-sDa7uYuTOPzkH60k/s1600/blogger+android+app.png"]blogger official app[/a]

Here is what [a href="https://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.android.apps.blogger" target="_blank"]people say[/a] about it:

"Constant force closing and sporadically re posts old entries.  "
"This could be great, but it re posts the posts again and again. That renders ..."
"Keeps republishing an old post every 30 min on htc wildfire s with newest ...  "
Also,
"If the re posting issue is not fixed soon than its going to meet the uninstall button. "
"Regularly force closes even when not running in foreground since latest update. "
"Either let me disabled notification or stop saying old articles are published over and over. Annoyed and uninstall "

Even after the update, the application seems to make problems. Another big concern is that the app doesn't allow to edit the posts that are already published before from desktop version. This is pretty awful. So in an all, this Blogger application isn't stable at the moment and requires huge attention from the programmers. To compete with the other cool blogging applications around like WordPress etc. Blogger really needs to put in their all efforts to make this app a success.
Hope a much better version will be out soon. And i wish when this app launches for iPhone its totally bug free

Design and Create Blogger Widgets - The Secret!

<center><span style="border-bottom: #8080ff 10px solid; border-left: #8080ff 10px solid; padding-bottom: 6px; padding-left: 6px; padding-right: 6px; border-top: #8080ff 10px solid; border-right: #8080ff 10px solid; padding-top: 6px; -moz-border-radius: 10px; -webkit-border-radius: 10px"><font color="#8080ff"><strong>Hello Brother!</strong></font></span></center>

Don't be confused with the large chunk of code above, CSS is the most interesting and most easiest web language of all. Just the way you make sentences using alphabets we use bits and pieces to create a CSS class.

So How will you design a widget?

Whether you wish to become a designer or you wish to be able enough to customize your template and posts, learning both CSS and HTML is a must now for a happy blogging career. I learnt designing by tweaking Blogger templates and by reading tutorials on [a href="http://www.w3schools.com/" target="_blank"]w3schools[/a]. There are three important practical tips that I can give:

  1. Go and Learn Photoshop. Find a nearby institute where [a href="http://www.mybloggertricks.com/2010/01/photoshop-image-editing-basics-for.html" target="_blank"]Photoshop[/a] is taught. Take a course of no more than 1 month.
  2. Start reading at least 5 tutorials per day of [a href="http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp" target="_blank"]HTML[/a] at w3schools
  3. After you learnt the basics of HTML then start the [a href="http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp" target="_blank"]CSS tutorials[/a] and read at least 4 tutorials daily at w3schools

This entire hard work will take you no more than a month. After having learnt everything, you will start experimenting and practicing them the next month and on the third and fourth month you deserve to be called a Designer!

After you have developed your designing skills then you can also go and start learning JavaScript, php, jQuery etc.

I have shared whatever that is practical and affordable to all of you. If you think you can hire a teacher for HTML and CSS then it is even more good but trust me Photoshop is the only thing I learnt in an institute, the rest of all my skills are self thought thanks to helpful internet and w3schools in general. The best thing about w3schools is that you can use their HTML editor to create and preview the code at the same time just like MBT HTML Editor. This thing will build up solid skills within a short time of span.

Keeping everything aside, I will be always there for constant help and support. I wish you may find the topic and tips today helpful in order to better enjoy your lives online. Please never give up and utilize this golden life opportunity effectively. Peace and blessings friends.

AdSense Strict Program Policy On Misuse of IFramed Ads

adsense policy changeJust today an hour ago at Jun 10 11:55AM, the Google [a href="http://groups.google.com/group/inside-adsense/browse_thread/thread/c110ff7cf1ff977f" target="_blank"]Adsense Program Policy Team expressed[/a] their serious concerns on the use of IFramed Ads by web owners. They also have made some changes to their program policy and I would suggest that you kindly read the new terms and conditions to keep yourself updated. Adsense marked the HTML tag iframe almost unacceptal without legal  approval from Google. They also prohibited altering the behavior, targeting, or appearance of AdSense ads without explicit approval from Adsense.

[a name='more'][/a]

This is what Adsense Program Policy mentioned at Inside AdSense Google Group today:

Improperly iframed ads are a disservice to our advertisers since the ad
itself can be obscured. Not only are they not viewable, these
implementations can lead to accidental clicks if these hidden ads are
placed in a location that users frequently click. Please see below for
an example of a partially hidden banner.
Hidden iframed ads is one form of misuse. The other is cross-domain
iframing abuse. Cross-domain iframes are used to frame content from a
different site. This type of implementation can allow other sites to
frame ads that belong to another site without the publisher’s knowledge.
As a result, we’ve modified our Ad Behavior policy to the following:
AdSense code may not be altered, nor may the standard behavior,
targeting or delivery of ads be manipulated in any way that is not
explicitly permitted by Google. This includes but is not limited to the
following: clicking Google ads may not result in a new browser window
being launched, nor may Google ads be placed in an IFRAME.
We’re aware of certain ad implementations that require the valid use of
iframes. As per our program policies, exceptions to our policies are
permitted only with authorization from Google.
With our updated language, our goal is to be more proactive about
enforcing the misuse of iframes. Iframing is not only deceptive when
improperly implemented, but it often leads to unintended behavioral
outcomes that result in policy violations, such as the double-serving
of ads. As our program policies also note, we reserve the right to
disable ad serving to sites and/or accounts that fail to comply with
these policies without permission from Google. To best adhere to our
policies and experience better targeting results, we recommend pasting
our ad code directly into the source of your web page HTML.

I request new bloggers to kindly be very careful on reading tutorials where AdSense Ad Customization is discussed. The best is that you avoid all such tricks and tutorials where AdSense Ads are personalized to suit your blog template using CSS, HTML or any other web technology. Customize your AdSense ads at AdSense Ad setup page only or in the AdSense Widget available on your Blogger Page elements.

Surprise! MBT Developed Its First Facebook HTML IFrame WebPage

Facebook Iframe TabAfter hours of trial and error and coding and coding and just coding, Alhamdulillah I succeeded in crafting and developing MBT's first Fans Welcome Page on Facebook. This was indeed one of the most enjoying designing thing I came across so far. Designing blogger templates, widgets, icons, buttons is more like a hobby now but taking a step further and branding a service and product on Facebook was a complete new experience. The Facebook application used in building this Welcome Page is called [a href="http://www.facebook.com/LouiseSteinerOnline#!/apps/application.php?id=190322544333196" target="_blank"]Static HTML IFrame Tabs[/a].  My coming tutorials on this are close to never shared before on any blog, forum or even the Facebook developers page and most often this is done at premium levels but[a name='more'][/a] you will be really excited to implement it to your blogs once we publish the series Guide for free. Together will we make the blogging platform even more appealing and worth exploring. Your motivation has helped me a lot in taking this step and I will need your valuable support always. I am really excited to share this unique "Facebook Welcome Page"  of MBT. So let's have a look of it:

PS: Please view it using any browser but not IE. The Page is Compatible with Mozilla, Chrome, Safari and even slightly with IE8+

[a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/My-Blogger-Tricks/147104632016744" target="_blank"]MBT Fans Welcome Page[/a]

It's 4.29 AM of night, 14th June 2011 and I am really tired to share the tutorial at this moment. I will publish series of posts on this topic with free and unique Code designs and will make sure that the coding is made as easy in implementation as possible. I would be more happy viewing your Welcome Pages with different colors and tastes. Peace and blessings. :)

Need your Feedback on this!

I will highly appreciate your precious feedback on this latest finding. Your comments mean a lot. If you have any idea you can share before we publish the tutorials then please share it openly with all of us. I would love to hear how you like it.

Disadvantages Of "Blogger Template Designer" Templates

The above class is the CSS code for styling the Header.  You can clearly see the variables indicated by the dollar sign ($) Now suppose if you wish to edit the background image of your header or change the border colours, font style etc. then how can you set the values when everything is in variables? Of course you can do that if you have some prior knowledge of web languages but this would be difficult to new bloggers.

  • The widget code is also programmed differently using Macro:param tags. See this code,

<aside>
          <macro:include id='main-column-left-sections' name='sections'>
            <macro:param default='0' name='num' value='0'/>
            <macro:param default='sidebar-left' name='idPrefix'/>
            <macro:param default='sidebar' name='class'/>
            <macro:param default='true' name='includeBottom'/>
          </macro:include>
          </aside>

This is the new way of adding dynamic tags to your widgets so that they could be edited directly using "Template designer". Previously the widget <b:section> tags were used which was easy to understand and replace as compared to this.

  • Further simple tags like <body> has been messed up into something like this,

<body expr:class='&quot;loading&quot; + data:blog.mobileClass'>

In all blogger tutorials we always mention <body> tag and it will now turn a headache for new bloggers to find the same <body> tag in the new template designs.

Conclusion:

In a nut shell as a web designer myself I can only advise you all to kindly stick to custom templates which are far better coded and optimized compared to blogger templates. With custom templates you have complete command over your layout coding and doesn't have to reply on the template Designer tool. You can apply all blogger tutorial tricks to your custom templates easily and can better implement them. I felt it important to discuss this topic as most of you were facing problems in applying the tuts and tricks. Hope this make things clear.

A really simple and user friendly app i must say. I have used it for couple of days. It works but its not the best. You can view your posts, write a new one easily. But the big draw back is that you cant see images within your post. Thats simply awful. Also the layout doesn't have much to offer. It would be better if there was some option to view the stats, revenue and stuff.
But still in the end its a free app. So what we want more.

Blog Write (Lite):

Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 2.2 or later
This app is my personnel favorite among these two. At least you get to view the images in your post. Also it supports other blogging platforms like WordPress, self hosted WordPress.

Final Judgement :

"Blog Writer" is definitely my hero as it has low system requirements and offers more then "Blog My Pen". Now you can work on your blog more than before. So try both of these apps and start using which best suites you. Until then, me going to play with those apps :)
